Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Teaser

So by now everyone has seen the teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, if not here it is in all of its awesomeness.

Everything looks great so far, but what’s up with that lightsaber? I think that this is the biggest complaint that the fanboys (and girls) have. There has definitely been a lot of spoofs for this clip, here are a few of my favorites:

And for some holiday spirit...

There was even a guy who got a tattoo of the little soccer ball droid within 10 hours of seeing the trailer, I'm not sure if that's dedication or stupidity.

Not bad...
At least it's better than this.
I cannot wait for the next trailer which has been said will be previewing with Avengers: Age of Ultron in the spring. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens comes out December 18, 2015 and let me say that it can’t come fast enough. I will be taking that day off of work and I’m hoping our local theater will do an all day event showing all previous six movies and ending it with TFA. Sorry I don’t have much for today, what I would like to see in the comments below is what you think the two spikes that come out of the villain’s lightsaber are?

As always May the Force Be With You!

Obi-Wan Trilogy? Uh, Yes Please!

For months now we have been hearing rumors about spin-off, stand alone Star Wars movies like: Boba Fett (I really hope so), Han Solo, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. I for one would love to see a series of Obi-Wan movies. From what I’ve read on the rumor sites, the movies would take place between episodes III and IV, but aren’t part of the story arc. I would like to see some stories carried out that have some questions. What ever happened to Darth Maul after he was shamed by the Emperor in the Clone Wars, does he track down Kenobi for a final duel? What type of training did Qui-Gon give him from the other side? Why does Owen Lars dislike Obi-Wan so much? (Okay maybe not that one, but you get the point.) These are just some of the ideas that could be going through the creative minds over at LucasFilm.

I would like to see how this battle ends in live action.

If they do create an Obi-Wan trilogy, I would also like to see Ewan McGregor play Obi-Wan again. I think he did an incredible job despite the acting of some of his fellow Star Wars costars.

Hopefully more like this.
Not like this.

What story line(s) would you like to see with Obi-Wan being the feature character? Please list them in the comments below we would love to hear from you.

Star Wars Original Trilogy: Unaltered on Blu-Ray

Star Wars Original Trilogy: Unaltered on Blu-Ray

For years, Star Wars fans have been waiting for the Original Trilogy to be re-released on blu-ray and we may not have to wait much longer! Earlier today on comicbook.com they wrote:

"For a long time Star Wars fans have been clamoring for Disney/Lucasfilm to re-release the original, unaltered cut of the first Star Wars trilogy, and Comicbook.com has now confirmed with two independent reliable sources that just such a plan is under way.

According to our sources, Disney has plans to release the original cut of the Star Wars trilogy on Blu-ray. Our sources indicate that the project has been under way for quite some time, but it’s been challenging because of some damage to the original negatives they are utilizing. The goal is to release A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of Jedi in their complete, unaltered, original form without the redone special edition SFX.

Our sources did not have an exact date as to when the original cut of the Star Wars Trilogy would be released on Blu-ray, due to the challenges Disney has encountered in pulling everything together. However, our sources indicated the goal is to have it ready and released before Star Wars Episode VII is released in theaters."

I still own and occasionally watch my DVD set that contained the Special Ed. and the unaltered versions of the films. They aren't the best transfer quality so if they truly do take their time on this, fans won't be disappointed.

So if this is true (crossing our fingers), the next 15 months should be pretty exciting; Star Wars Rebels on Disney XD this fall, Star Wars: Battlefront (3) within the next year, the release of the unaltered Original Trilogy on Blu-Ray, and of course ending 2015 with Star Wars: Episode VII. Hopefully Disney will continue to give us exciting news!

As always we will continue to bring you the latest news in the Star Wars universe.

Until next time, May the Force Be With You!
