Bernthal's Punisher Gets Series Order

Bernthal's Punisher Gets Series Order

MoneyLaunderer's dream just came true! Following the wildly successful second season of Netflix and Marvel's Daredevil series, Jon Berenthal will be reprising his role as The Punisher in his own spin-off series as originally reported by Entertainment Weekly.

Steve Lightfoot (writer and executive producer on one of my favorite shows of 2104, Hannibal) will serve as show runner for the series as well as pen the first two episodes.

"For me, the complexity and unpredictability of Frank Castle make him an incredibly compelling character and I couldn't be more excited to dive into his world" Lightfoot states. "After watching Jon's performance in Marvel's Daredevil I could not be more excited to be working with him to further develop and process the story of this anti-hero in a show of his own."

Netflix and Marvel clearly have a strategic plan in motion, with five separate series currently in different stages of production. Although it hasn't been confirmed at this point, don't be surprised if The Punisher also makes an appearance in 2017 with The Defenders!

Marvel's The Defenders To Begin Shooting

Marvel's The Defenders To Begin Shooting

It's no secret that the Marvel/Netfilx team-up has been killing it with their gritty take on the hero's of Hell's Kitchen. Daredevil and Jessica Jones have both been a tremendous success for the studio and viewers alike and details are finally emerging on that promised The Defenders series!

While no solid dates have been announced, Independent.co.uk reports that the series is set to begin shooting at the end of the year, which is incredible news considering we still have Luke Cage, Iron Fist and a second season of Jessica Jones on the way!

Daredevil star, Charlie Cox, opened up briefly on the topic this past weekend during a Netflix event in Paris.

"What we do know is at the end of this year we're going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much apart of that foursome. I have no idea what the storyline is going to be for that show. I'm very excited to see how those world's combine ... and interested to see tonally how those shows become one ... In terms of wrapping up any storylines, maybe they'll do some of that in The Defenders. Or maybe they won't."

Although it seems the actors are still in the dark regarding what their role as a team (as well as the thereat they'll face) will be, it's great to see things moving along for a potential 2017 debut!

Welcome Back, Frank

It's been officially announced that Punisher, AKA Frank Castle, will be joining season 2 of Daredevil.  He will be portrayed by Jon Bernthal.

Bernthal is best known for playing Shane on The Walking Dead, as well as appearing in movies like The Wolf of Wall Street and Fury.

The Punisher has previously been portrayed in movies by Dolph Lundgren, Thomas Jane and Ray Stevenson.

Season 2 of Daredevil is set to premier in 2016 exclusively on Netflix.

Daredevil Back For A Second Season!

Daredevil has been officially renewed for a second season! Originally, Marvel had only planned single seasons for the their Netflix shows before the Defenders team up miniseries. With Daredevil being such a huge success, it's no surprise they've altered their plan. The second season will debut next year exclusive to Netflix, obviously.

Later this year will see the introduction of Jessica Jones in her own series as well as Luke Cage and Iron Fist later on down the line.

The second season will have new show runners, Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez. Both were writers and heavily involved for Daredevil's first season.

This story is just breaking. Stay tuned for more details.

Marvel Launches Its Official & Dark Daredevil Trailer!

With April 10th on the horizon, Netflix and Marvel have released the Official (non-teaser!) Trailer of the highly anticipated Daredevil series!

Dark, gritty and bloodier than anticipated, I personally can't wait to binge the entire series. It's time to clean up the streets of Hell's Kitchen.

Daredevil Trailer Debuts!

Daredevil Trailer Debuts!

As we all anxiously await the next cinematic installments to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Avengers : Age Of Ultron and Ant-Man, Netflix and Marvel come to the rescue debuting the trailer for their 13 episode Daredevil series set to launch on April 10!

Taking place in the same universe as the cinematic feature films and in true Netflix fashion, all 13 episodes will release simultaneously for our binge watching pleasure! Subsequent series featuring Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist are also currently in the works for Netflix distribution, with a team Defenders series slated to bring them all together in true Avengers fashion following each heroes solo ventures!

Netflix has more than proven its quality and success in the form of House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, and I have no fear that Daredevil will more than live up to expectations, and hopefully bury all memories of Ben Affleck's 2003s take on the character.

Top 5 Workplace Comedies

Top 5 Workplace Comedies
In honor of this upcoming Labor Day I have assembled the Top 5 Workplace Comedies (of all time). Nothing is better than getting a laugh from some million dollar Hollywood star who’s basically playing you, working at your crappy job. So sit back, turn on your Netflix machine, and watch one of these gems.

5.)

Waiting... - (2005)
Being a waiter/waitress sucks. How do you get through your day? Show your ball bag off to all your co-workers! No I’m not talking about you bowling bag. Back in 2005, when Ryan Reynolds was actually the go-to guy for a comedy, this workplace comedy came out and showed everyone that you don’t mess with the people who prepare your food.

4.)

Horrible Bosses - 2011
Nothing can ruin your whole life quite like a horrible boss. These ball bags take the case. We have a boss that laughs at the death of your grandmother, another who is constantly using her power as a boss to sexually assault you, and another who demands you fire all the fat and disabled employees. What is the solution to the issue at hand? Murder!

3.)

Anchorman - 2004
The entirety of this move is one big quote. The quote of all movie quotes. Take any line out of it at random and it translates to an epic comedy movie quote. “I’m in a glass case of emotion!” “I love lamp.” “I love Scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly…” Catch my drift?

2.)

Clerks - 1994
No one likes getting called in on their day off. This particular day in particular is the worst of all days. You find out some unsettling things about your girlfriend’s past and the ex-girlfriend you still have a thing for is getting married. Not to mention the job itself sucks with the shutters of the store not opening and all of the stupid customers who ask stupid questions about the construction of the Death Star. The biggest contribution to the movie scene this move had however was the introduction of none other than Jay and Silent Bob. “Who smokes the blunts? We smoke the blunts!”

1.)

Office Space - 1999
This movie has every kind of workplace fantasy that any cubicle jockey has ever dreamt up. From just not giving a flying fudge about your job all the way to burning the entire building to the ground. Want to rip your company off without them noticing? Go for it! Want to beat that piece of shiz copy machine into oblivion? Yup, and we brought the baseball bat. It has it all. Office Space is the ultimate therapy for the begrudged employee.

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend, sit back with a cold one, and fire up some workplace hilarity with the Top 5 Workplace Comedies.
