Marvel Studios and Sony are finally learning to share and we all get to reap the benefits. Late last night it was announced the two studios will collaborate on future Spider-Man films, starting with his own solo outing in July 2017.
Mr. Parker will first appear in an unconfirmed MCU film first ( the smart money being on Captain America: Civil War ). Along with this new era for Spidey, will be a new star. It's been confirmed that Andrew Garfield's days as Web Head are over.
In other MCU news, Marvel seems to be looking at Angelina Jolie to direct the Captain Marvel movie. Some reports of this rumor even claim she might star in it as well. Nothing has been confirmed, so keep your reactions at bay. Captain Marvel is also one of a handful of films pushed back to make room for the inclusion of Spider-Man.
Marvel has a lot in the works for the next few years, giving us all plenty to be excited for.
